OC TRIAL TEST

The OCTTC is significant for our Year 4 students intending to sit the OC Placement Test. This course is specifically designed so that students sit a Trial Test every week, testing their knowledge and performance in exam conditions. By sitting our OC Trial Tests, students systematically revise the entire Year 4 course and will be confidently prepared for the OC Placement Test.

CS Education utilises a Blended Learning System specially designed for OC, Selective School and Private School Scholarship Exams. Students sit for tests in class and review incorrect questions at home with parents. Our test papers are constantly updated and revised to meet changing trends in such examinations. The latest in computer hardware and software is used to mark students’ answer sheets for each exam. OMR (Optical Mark Reader) paper is used as test answer sheets which enables instant marking of each test. The result sheets give detailed information regarding the students’ scores. It indicates which questions in which category were answered correctly and incorrectly and displays each student’s average out of all test participants. Frequent feedback regarding each student’s result gives parents more insight into their child’s progress. Success in this highly competitive exam requires commitment and hard work and we pledge our assistance in helping your child achieve this outcome. Working in partnership, there is nothing we cannot achieve!

At CS Education we have a unique Blended Learning system with the Online Trial Tests as support to the offline Trial Tests. For students enrolled in the offline Trial Tests Course both parents & children can REVIEW all incorrect trial test questions online for 1 week after taking the test. This is most beneficial as parents can help children at home and monitor their progress online as well.

During that period, students will complete 54 tests / 27 sets (27 tests per subject: G.A, Mathematics, English, Vocabulary & Essay Writing). During a session, the test paper is reviewed while students’ answer sheets are being marked. Teachers/tutors explain all questions step by step so that students maintain a thorough understanding of each test question. Writing tests are marked by fully qualified English Teachers and results are returned to students in the next session with corrections, suggestions and comments. If students’ test marks in Maths/GA for that week are unsatisfactory they can attend the ‘Small Group Tutorial’ session. During this session, students will re-examine the same questions which were done earlier in the week. The tutor will review the questions again to ensure students understand completely. This Small Group Tutorial is absolutely free of charge!
